This essentially functions similarly to sub-classes, in that it will dictate the playstyle that the character's class will be experiencing. There are no sub-classes like in previous Diablo games, but there are Upgrades and Ultimate Skills that have exclusivity, where the player will only be able to choose a single Upgrade for a skill or a single Ultimate Skill for their Build. Skills have multiple Categories that vary according to the selected Class, each of them explained below. And as in previous Diablo games, every class has exclusive Skills. Skills and Skill Trees in Diablo 4 refer to Character Progression by investing Skill Points into Diablo 4 Skill Trees that unlock abilities for your character build.
